General Proposal - Project Focused Business Center

The working environment faced by most business engaged in today's fast-paced hyper-communicative methodology in many cases becomes a negative in those situations where management and staff are keenly engaged in a focused project. Difficulties arise in the traditional urban center environments where virtual gridlock places a company's best personnel in transit for several hours per day, causes metal fatigue and frustration to the extent that the mental capacities of the workforces has all been spent by the time they arrive at the company headquarters. Anxiety levels of urban workers are well documented. One needs only watch as employees of Microsoft. Vision, and Boeing crawl to their designated job locations, be required to ramp-up their mental capacities for the demanding tasks of the day with no other opti0ons than to return to the gridlock in the evening. Coupled with the continual outside stresses of a concentrated urban environment (Where do I par? Where can I find suitable childcare? Will I be able to leave the building safely after dark? etc) Puget Sound based companies must meet the additional challenge of approximately 200 days per year of dark, wet, miserable weather conditions. In the winter of 1998-99, as an example, Seattle experienced over 100 consecutive days of rainfall. Very credible studies performed by the Mayo Clinic, The National Mental Health Association, and Ohio State University have linked these dreary weather conditions to dysfunctional of workers. The Mayo study concluded that "up to 25 million workers experience depression that recurs ...symptoms include loss of energy and difficulty concentrating and processing information." The study further found that "an hour's walk in winter sunlight was as effective as two and half hours of bright artificial light. But with over 200 dark rainy days per year in Seattle, where does one locate to eliminate the adverse environmental conditions?

Fortunately, the answer is not very far away. Less than a two-hour drive from Seattle, a Project Focused Business Center located along 6 miles of waterfront along Moses Lake, is the solution.
